OPERATION42 is the electronic side project of English musician and producer Joseph Bagwell. The project began back in 2014, where Joseph decided to split off the ambient electronic music he was making and release it under a different name, that being Nebulae Music, and releasing the debut album Vol. 1 through both bandcamp and the ambient net label Zenapolae

After releasing a few volumes of ambient/electronica music and the ambient concept album Titan, Joseph decided to rebrand his electronic catalog. The decision came along with the desire to incorporate more modern EDM influences into his music, Ironically the first release under the new name of OPERATION42 was much more of the same ambient music. With 2023’s Saudadeland Joseph explores more orchestral and electronica influences, notably influenced by the works of C418 and Kraftwerk.
