Regaining Passion for hobbies.

Towards the end of 2025, and into the the start of this year, I was in a bit of a financial bind. I decided to cull through a lot of my stuff I hadn’t touched in years.

I started with a large Celestron telescope which I hadn’t touched in goodness knows how long (at least two years). Eventually moving onto revaluating some of the music gear I had, considering whether I would ever use it again or just use plugins.

I had also considered selling my Fujifilm bridge camera I bought for myself years ago to get into amateur photography with. At the time though, I couldn’t for the life of me find where I had put the dam thing. “Oh well” I said to myself, and I am glad I never did find it.

Fast forward to a few weeks ago, after delivering some composition work for a client, I realized I suddenly felt a wave of passion to work on some of my own music I had put off for years. In doing so I remembered how much fun I had doing amateur photography of nature and whatever I found, especially getting cool shots that can be edited into artwork for my ambient music.

So today, with the weather beginning to pick up, I set off outside with my camera to the woods near my house. I took lots of nice photos, some of which will hopefully see good use as artwork. I really enjoyed my day, although I wish I had worn wellies because my vans got caked in mud!
